This book is about a boy named Owen who one day finds everything he knows of is gone and the only way to get it back is by fighting the Harsh, a group of creatures who want everything gone and like coldness. Will Owen get everything the way is should be or will he be lost forever alone in nothingness?

I thought this was a great book and can't wait for the sequel, "A City in Time."
